Welcome to the 2008-2009 year.  This is the official website of the Gamma Chi chapter of Phi Beta Lambda at Wayne Community College. As we explore possibilities throughout the year, our goals will always be in sight: success in the classroom, the state and national competitions, and ultimately, our careers. 2008 National Leadership Conference

WCC-Phi Beta Lambda did an outstanding job this summer at the 2008 National Leadership Conference.  Our members competed against delegates from Colleges and Universities all across the country. 



Seven student delegates plus two advisors attended the conference in Atlanta on June 20th - June 24th.  



Joseph Pender received 1st place in Web Site Development.



Joseph Davis received 7th place in Accounting Analysis and Decision Making and 9th place in Accounting for Professionals.

2008 State Leadership Conference

WCC-Phi Beta Lambda took home top honors this past April at the 54th Annual State Leadership Conference. Our members competed against delegates from 27 North Carolina Universities and Colleges.

Betty Williams and DeAndre Lewis received 1st place in the Network Design competition.

Joseph Pender received 1st place in the Web Site Design competition.

In individual events Joseph Davis took home 1st place in Accounting Analysis and Decision Making he also received 2nd place in Accounting for Professionals, Phillip Parry Jr. received 3rd place in Accounting Principles and 2nd place in Management Analysis and Decision Making, Joseph Pender received 3rd place in Cyber Security,...

Induction Ceremony

On January 11, 2007, Wayne Community College and Mt. Olive College held their Phi Beta Lambda joint induction ceremony of the 2006-2007 officer teams for each chapter.  The event was conducted at 3 pm in Walnut 101 on the Wayne Community College campus.

Officers were inducted by Sarah Espinosa, the PBL Eastern Region Vice President.  A special thank-you goes to here for the help of inducting the officers and for traveling from Fayetteville Technical Community College for the event.

Eleven members, not including those being installed, attended to watch the ceremony as their new officers were being inducted.  The list of inductees included:
